Job Profile Title: Internal Auditor

Location/Division Specific Information -

St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Headquarters with a Hybrid schedule.

How will you make an impact? --

You will plan, coordinate, and execute SOX and discretionary audit plans designed to identify risk, mitigate loss, and protect the people, assets, and cash flow of the company.

What will you do? --

• Conduct SOX, and/or discretionary (e.g., operational) audits in accordance with audit programs while effectively managing time budgets

• Prepare or review audit workpapers documenting each audit step in the audit program; Ensure information is presented clearly, concisely, accurately, in a logical format, and has appropriate audit conclusions

• Provide timely status updates to in-charge lead or Internal Audit Manager during the course of the audit and as issues arise

• Prepare or review written presentations to management at the conclusion of an audit, discussing deficiencies, recommending corrective actions, and suggesting improvements in internal controls

• Perform data analysis to produce scoping, risk-based strategies, and audit procedures

• Coordinate site and project reviews (time and resource budgeting) with team members, local management, and external auditors (as necessary)

• Assist in the creation or revision of audit programs where necessary to mitigate risks and accomplish audit objectives

• Actively maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations, and standards in the fields of internal audit, accounting, information technology and/or other related matters of interest to the department

• Complete periodic education to stay informed of emerging issues and maintain a degree of professionalism

• Review and complement external auditing roles and practices

• Use internal and external data to understand the underlying causes/drivers of issues and opportunities

• Ability to travel domestically one or two weeks per quarter

How will you get here?--

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree required in accounting. other related fields such as Finance, Business Administration or IT Experience

• 2-3 years of full-time work experience related to accounting, finance or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training

• Proven experience with SOX or a combination of experience with GAAP and GAAS required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Understanding of GAAP and auditing standards, procedures, techniques, risk assessment practices, and frameworks such as COSO.

• Basic IT knowledge, and other specialty areas (e.g., security, operations, fraud investigation), preferred

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate information and draw key conclusions

• Ongoing understanding the company’s goals and strategy and stay on top of key industry trends and issues in the markets

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products

• Proficiency with Auditboard or similar Audit, Compliance & Risk Management tools is highly desired

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional designation (CISA, CPA, CIA, CFE) or eligibility and willingness to obtain
