POSITION SUMMARY :

The Service Coordinator is knowledgeable about the Early Steps Program and serving infants and toddlers from birth to age three with special needs. Maintains a caseload, act as the primary Service Coordinator for their assigned families and ensures access to Early Steps supports and services within the community, and enhances the caregiving capabilities of the child’s family and/or caregiver. Responsibility to work within the guidelines and policies of the Early Steps Program and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hosptial.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, health education, interdisciplinary sociology, early childhood, child development, or special education, or an equivalent degree

  • Enrollment in the Florida Medicaid system as a Service Coordinator

  • 1 year (1600 hours) of hands-on professional experience with young children and families in a teaching, case management or counseling role, or with individuals with special needs and/or developmental delays of any age in a case management role; time spent in a practicum or internship (up to 400 hours) may apply toward the 1600 hours of hands-on experience

  • Current Florida driver’s license with clean driving record
