System Validation Engineer Location: US Murata Viosis a global medical device company dedicated to creating a paradigm shift in the way healthcare is delivered. Why Consider This Job Opportunity The System Validation Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting system verification and validation testing to find the gap between the customer needs and the product. The position supports the development of user documents for system and subsystem requirements. The System Validation Engineer works closely with the Systems Engineer and Product Manager to ensure the design input, interface, and design outputs are aligned. The role supports subsystem design verification testing, ensuring the traceability from the user needs to the product requirements and testing. Workplace Policy On-site in Woodbury, MN What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities) Aligns the test strategy with an Agile development methodology to keep fast-paced development while ensuring quality objectives. Executes the verification and validation testing strategy for the system. Writes and executes system test protocols including the sample size determination. Collaborates with the product manager, systems engineer, and human factor engineer to develop test cases to ensure the product meets customer needs. Coordinates with algorithm, hardware, and software engineering teams to ensure traceability from customer needs to system requirements, test requirements, and test cases. Facilitates effective communication across locations to align test protocols and reports. Utilizes Agile process tool (e.g., JIRA) to plan, evaluate, document new features, and close issues. Supports the quality engineering function by reviewing the failure mode analysis. Participates in the risk management process and develops verification test cases to demonstrate the effectiveness. Develops scalable and robust test automation frameworks, scripts, and system level requirements with the Systems Engineering team. Maintains the verification and validation costs within the budget. Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities Supports subsystem development and evaluations by working with the algorithm team, hardware team, and firmware team as needed. Works with the technical operations group to set up the test, pilot, and commercial instances. Monitors and summarizes the entire development team's quality and productivity as well as the customer site utilization and issues. Supports customer sales demonstrations and pilots. Communicates with sales, marketing, and clinical international teams to understand as well as simulate the test conditions and environment. What Is Required (Qualifications) Bachelor's in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of relevant work experience (no experience with a Master's degree). Experience with system or subsystem level testing and test process development. Knowledge of network communications technology. Oral and written communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional meetings. How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Master's in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering. 3 years of system validation experience. Experience working under medical device regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, QSR). Experience with continuous integration and automated testing. Experience working in multi-cultural environments.
