Concordia College-St Paul Student Choir Aide in St. Paul, Minnesota

Position: Student Choir Aide Location: St. Paul, MN Job Id: 313080 (Fall '24) # of Openings: 1 Instrumental Department Student Worker - 3 Hours/Week Position Over: The instrumental music student worker will be responsible for the following areas of work each week: Essential Duties: Instrumental Music Librarian: The student would retrieve compositions from the instrumental library to distribute to students based on ensemble instrumentation prior to rehearsals. During rehearsal the librarian would be on hand to assist players with composition part issues. Between rehearsals the librarian would sort, organize, label, and return compositions to the library as well as track each item's use on a shared google document. Instrument Maintenance and Accessibility Technician: The student would return all instruments used during the week to their designated stored location, observe, record and report any maintenance that needs to be performed. The student should make regular observance of the instruments, so that property will not be lost or become unusable for our student musicians and to keep it readily available for maximum and efficient student use. Rehearsal Equipment Manager: The student will manage CSP chairs and stands to set up the room for class so that all student musicians have what they need in a timely manner for rehearsal to begin on time and proceed without interruption. The student will mindfully clear the room and store all CSP equipment in such a way that other teachers, students, and rental parties can use the space at any scheduled times. The student will also make sure that the pianos in the building are regularly watered for proper humidification.
