Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in St. Paul, Minnesota. The individual will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by overseeing finance and accounting activities. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for leading financial close processes, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to support decision-making. The role also involves participation in the analysis of acquisitions targets, contribution to process improvements, and collaboration across functions to drive organizational success.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee finance and accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting
• Lead financial close processes, including revenue accounting, expense analysis, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and intercompany allocations
• Analyze financial and operational data for trends, variances to budget/forecast, and improvement opportunities
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis
• Assist with development of management reporting and KPI’s to better understand business performance
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting initiatives, including development of revenue growth and expense assumptions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support the close process, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
• Lead special projects and provide ad hoc financial analyses and recommendations as requested
• Assist with diligence and modeling of acquisition targets, and lead accounting and finance integration of acquisitions
• Recommend and assist with the implementation of process improvements and controls to enhance efficiency and scalability across the accounting, finance, billing, collections, and payroll functions Requirements • Sr. Financial Analyst role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proficiency in the 'About Time' software is a must.
• A strong understanding of accounting functions is required.
• Candidates should be familiar with budget processes, including planning, tracking, and reporting.
• The role demands comprehensive knowledge of expense reporting procedures.
• An understanding of finance principles and practices is essential.
• Experience with SAP software is needed.
• The ability to analyze and investigate variances is crucial.
• Candidates should be able to explain variances in financial data effectively.
• Experience in month-end close procedures is necessary.
