This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and has the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.

This position will plan and implement efforts for the Office of Transit and Active Transportation’s (OTAT) Shared Mobility initiatives. Primary responsibilities include to (1) develop, coordinate and provide technical assistance and training for grantees and local, regional and state partners on shared mobility programs; (2) identify and pursue discretionary grant funding, and coordinate with administrative staff to manage awarded grants; (3) support planning and deployment of shared mobility projects at the ABC Ramps Mobility Hub; (4) provide coordination and consultation with key partners to plan and advance policy, processes, and systems that facilitate increased adoption of shared mobility throughout Greater Minnesota, including increased collaboration with the Active Transportation Unit.

MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for visas or Optional Practical Exam for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Two years of advanced professional (MAPE 10L or higher) transportation planning experience that demonstrates:

  • Experience with planning principles, methods, and techniques.

  • Experience with grant contract principles and practices.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, Sociology, Political Science substitutes for six months of advanced professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with public transit and shared mobility, or new mobility services.

Experience with adult learning concepts and delivery techniques.

Experience with contract management and administration.
