What’s in it for you:

We are currently hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Digital Solutions team at Trane Technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for developing structured and verified software to meet customer needs. You will work closely partnering with other software, hardware, control algorithm and, project engineers as well as with our technical support, development, and product teams. This role helps our customers configure, monitor and troubleshoot our product, which will help with our company’s productivity and sustainability goals. The successful candidate will be a hands-on team player with a strong background in software engineering and experience working in an agile or waterfall development environments.

Where is the work:

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of our St. Paul, MN location.

What you will do:

· Work on the inception phase of projects, including requirement analysis, suggesting methodologies and technologies, and release planning.

· Design, implement, verify, and support UI web-based solutions and applications.

· Influence and strengthen the development culture of the team.

· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

· Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and other team activities.

· Continuously improve the software development process and practices.

· Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

What you will bring:

  • A desire to understand our business and passion to connect current and potential customers with service offerings designed to create efficient and sustainable buildings.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of JavaScript, software using object-oriented design, and web browser-based development expience.

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience using CSS, HTML, JavaScripts, and RESTful API’s.

  • Strong understanding of JavaScript frameworks such as React.

  • Testing experience (TDD/BDD, unit tests, mocking frameworks)

Compensation:

Base salary for this position is $90,000 - $140,000.
