This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office daily.

This position is the lead administrative support to the Office of Financial Management supporting MnDOT’s financial programs. Responsibilities include supporting financial processes, researching questions, and responding to internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to manage an office or work area by planning, organizing, administering, and directing the work of other employees.

  • Math skills sufficient to calculate, review, and reconcile financial data and balance accounts.

  • Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing (such as Microsoft applications like Outlook, Word, etc.), spreadsheets, and PowerPoint sufficient to create, modify, and protect files.

  • Ability to develop, modify, and evaluate/improve administrative and program procedures.

  • Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous, and accurate information to customers in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a state government agency.

  • Experience processing business expenses.

  • Executive administrative experience supporting senior management.
