This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and has the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent may be expected to work in the office on occasion.

We are filling two positions.

The purpose of this job is to provide workplace safety leadership and expertise to the non-district offices of the Minnesota Department of Transportation in order to provide a safe work environment and to prevent and mitigate costs associated with personal injuries, and property and environmental damage.

This job is a mixture of field and office work, with occasional travel required.

MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for visas or Optional Practical Exam for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher-level degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, (or closely related field), and three years of related professional-level work experience in the field of occupational health and safety.

OR

Five (5) years of related professional level work experience in the field of occupational health and safety.

If you meet the above minimum qualifications, please ensure that your resume illustrates your knowledge, skills and abilities in the following:

· Experience with federal and state occupational safety and health rules and regulations, ergonomics, techniques of injury prevention and hazard evaluation.

· Experience developing and conducting safety training.

· Experience identifying occupational safety and health problems, developing and implementing solutions.

· Valid Driver’s License is required.
