HealthPartners Radiologic Technologist in St. Paul, Minnesota

HealthPartners is hiring for a full-time Radiologic Technologist working out of the St Paul Specialty Center 435 clinic. QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology Currently registered ARRT in Minnesota Written and oral communication skills PREFERRED: Previous work experience as a Radiologic Technologist Member MSRT or ASRT PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Must possess speech, hearing and sight skills to perform the functions of the position. Manual dexterity required. Must be able to speak, read and write English proficiently. Some lifting may be required. May need to travel from one clinic to another to perform job functions. POSITION PURPOSE: Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Ensure high quality patient care while working cooperatively with physicians and co-workers. Ensure patient confidentiality. STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE: Accountabilities: Adhere to the Radiology Patient Services Standards. Provide proper radiation protection and quality care to patients, employees and self. Select proper technical factors and operate equipment in a safe and concise manner ensuring established protocol for quality control. Ensure rooms are well stocked, department is organized and esthetically pleasing. Complete assignments as delegated by Supervisor. Technical: Produces high quality radiographs with minimal errors. Demonstrates clinical competence in using correct processes to provide care to patients and their families. Implements established HealthPartners policies and procedures. Provides support to patients and their families. Documents patient information accurately and completely and keeps records regarding clinical practice. Follows the imaging protocols set forth by their respective department. Shares information with other members of the health care team. Uses interdisciplinary resources to enhance own decision-making. Solves problems appropriately seeking assistance from members of the HealthPartners team. Uses appropriate systems, automated or manual, to obtain patient information. Education: Engages in ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of teaching in terms of understanding and application. Participates in patient care conferences, in-services and educational programs in the HealthPartners system and community. Maintains ARRT registration by completing required continuing education. Leadership: Serves as a role model in the enhancements of practice and professional conduct. Demonstrates flexibility in performing additional responsibilities to contribute to the improvements in patient care and the functioning of the care unit and other support services. Provides support to professional and technical staff. Formulates and attains personal and professional goals which promote individual growth, the care unit philosophy and the HealthPartners mission. Demonstrates ability to assess and problem solve. Serves as a catalyst for improving standards of practice. Demonstrates positive verbal communication and listening skills with internal and external customers. Delegates appropriately and remains accountable for safe delivery of that delegated care. Professionalism: Adheres to HealthPartners dress code. Acts as a patient advocate. Maintains patient confidentiality. Selects and participates in appropriate professional conferences, workshops and continuing education and communities. Participates in and utilizes re earch appropriate to clinical setting to improve patient care. Remains accountable for the efficient use of time, material and human resources. Assists with the updating of current, and development of new procedures as appropriate. Demonstrates a commitment to the mission, goals and values of HealthPartners.
