The Quality Management Test Lead is responsible for assessing requirements, design documentation and other project artifacts to develop the QA test approach while working with project teams. Create and execute the corresponding test strategies, test plans, and test cases as needed. Work effectively and collaboratively within the scrum team, across scrum teams, and with other QA team members. Assume a leadership role in defect/issue analysis and resolution. Work closely with the QA Manager to complete post-implementation deliverables and participate in Lessons Learned and Retrospective sessions with project team members. Actively contribute to development and implementation of Quality Assurance best practices and in process improvements throughout the department. This position will be responsible for developing and improving automation frameworks with an emphasis on efficiency. Will lead a small team of consultants to maintain high pass rates, framework enhancements, and building and executing an automation testing strategy.
How You'll Shine:
Perform QA risk/impact assessment of each assigned project based on detailed review of requirements, design documentation, Use Cases and other key project artifacts
Develop and maintain automation framework
Assign automation tasks to team for completion
Discover and implement efficiencies and new technologies to further QA goals
Develop high-level and/or detailed QA functional test estimates based on requirements and risk factors. Define test approaches and test strategy documenting test scope, scenarios and resource effort
Develop QA automation test scenarios, organize test data and execute planned test cases/retests as required. Communicate established QA standards, processes and procedures to different areas of the organization.
Update and maintain assigned project status and defect management reports in Jira/HP Quality Cen
Provide technical, procedural and direct assistance to team members (e.g. Agile team, QA, UAT) for all project activities.
Oversee the stability and uptime of QA automation environment and code base
Perform code review on QA Engineer automation for consistency and quality code
Lead and participate in QA process improvement research, planning and implementation efforts
Investigate new technologies and processes. Lead those efforts to completion.
What You'll Bring:
Minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience leading QA project activities within medium to large projects
Experience building automated test cases using Selenium, Performance Testing, or building a framework for large scale testing
5- 7 years with Agile and Waterfall software development life cycle (SDLC)
Experience with full quality management lifecycle for application development and delivery
Software Testing or Test Management Certifications from ASQ or QAI (CSTE, CQA, et al) preferred
Demonstrated ability to see problems, formulate solution, and then drive to completion
Demonstrated understanding of key business functions, transactions and reporting methods
Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior managers
Ability to influence and be persuasive
Ability to take ownership and deliver large sized projects while mentoring and directing team members
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and problems and follow through to completion
Proven track record of working effectively with team members as well as technical and business representatives
Demonstrated experience leading QA and IT process improvement efforts
Progressive responsibility in leading QA efforts
Ability to discern, articulate, and build enterprise level solutions
5 - 7 years’ experience using HP Quality Center/JIRA or other defect/test management tools
5 - 7 years’ experience with automated testing tools (Selenium,QTP) approaches and data query tools
Experience in Infrastructure or production support is a plus
5-7 years’ experience in JAVA/Python/Ruby or other test scripting languages
Demonstrated competency with database structures and use of SQL or similar querying language
Demonstrated QA expertise or technical experience in several of the following areas:
Mainframe systems
Web Services Architecture (SOA)
Application Server Technology
Security Services and Security Access Controls
