Your role at Baxter As the Patient and Customer Services (PCS) Training Manager you have full responsibility over the strategy and portfolio of Respiratory Care internal training programs and courses. In this position you will analyze training needs, deliver training courses and workshops in support of critical initiatives related to systems and processes. You will update or create course materials to reflect changes in processes or systems and manage the training strategy effectively to ensure learning including instructional design, course material creation, supporting communications, instructing/facilitating, and performance support. What you'll be doing Formulate training content, outline, and determine instructional methods applying knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops. Create and manage continual education support materials. Develop and manage onboarding program for Respiratory Health new hire team members. Design and implement process to test training recipients on an ongoing basis. Perform Training Needs Assessments to determine an appropriate solution to meet business needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of courses and continuously improves methods to increase effectiveness. Collaborate with leadership on employee individual development plans to design programs for high potential and future leaders. Provide updates and results about progress of team members in all training programs to leadership. Build the internal network of internal trainers and organize regular Train the Trainer sessions. Continually review instructor performance and recommend improvements to program content and/or instructor presentation methods. Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. What you'll bring Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Communications, or related field and/or experience 3+ years of training experience preferable in medical device industry. 3+ years of experience in managing a training program, writing training manuals, participant guides, and/or training handbooks. Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint required. Experience with educational authoring software such as Articulate, Captive, or similar LMS required. Knowledge of industry related learning management systems and delivery tools Knowledge of best practices of training using adult learning methods and techniques Demonstrated ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, design, develop, deliver, monitor, and evaluate) in various instructor led, virtual, or on-line learning scenarios. Demonstrated ability in creating course content and practical experience in instructional design. Efficient time management, organization, and presentation skills Experience leading cross-functional teams required. Must demonstrate the ability to lead with indirect authority. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $154,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
