TPT/Twin Cities Public Television Mid-Level Gift Officer in St. Paul, Minnesota

Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Mid-level Giving Officer manages a portfolio of prospects and donors and assists in planning and implementing activities to build TPT's mid-level annual giving program. Reporting to the Mid-level Giving Manager, this position will be charged with cultivating relationships within a mid-range portfolio of 300+ donors and prospects contributing $1,200 - $4,999. The individual hired for this position will be instrumental in donor acquisition, upgrade and retention efforts as well as impactful and scalable stewardship activities. Hiring Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 annually (depending on qualifications). Hybrid Work Environment: Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the Twin Cities Metro area. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Donor Relations (65% of time) Consistently meet or exceed revenue and growth goals through donor cultivation. Manage a portfolio of 300+ mid-level donors and prospects ($1,200 - $4,999). Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward supporters through engagement including visits, virtual meetings, email, calls, event participation, and personalized correspondence. Leverage and maintain impeccable donor database records in TPT's CRM. Identify donors' passions and interests, build relationships, and leverage those relationships into meaningful support opportunities. Work collaboratively with other Giving Officers to upgrade mid-level donors to major donors and planned giving donors. Serve as point of contact for new mid-level donors and create a positive experience for donors who transition from membership to mid-level. Actively participate in the creation and execution of fundraising activities and events, including station tours, donor visits and events hosted by the Development Team. Represent the organization at events, presentations, tours, and meetings. Communicate the value and impact of TPT while representing the TPT brand to our community. Research, create and recommend new programs and opportunities to support donor stewardship. Collaborate with development, communications and marketing staff to maximize visibility and collaboration that supports TPT's fundraising strategies. Mid-Level Strategy and Processes (30% of time) Utilize data to evaluate internal and external trends, set goals, and develop strategies and tactics for converting, upgrading, and retaining donors. Develop and implement customized communication, stewardship, and engagement strategies that successfully move donors through the giving pipeline. Manages mid-level giving including personalized renewal, upgrades, acquisition, and acknowledgment. Maintain integrity of the CRM, which includes tracking all donor interactions, and assisting in analyzing data to inform and prioritize individuals and strategies. Meet individual goals as well as helping the Development team reach group annual revenue goal $4MM. Other Duties as Assigned (5% of time) Participate as an active member of the Development Team and contribute to shared goals and collaborate with colleagues on achievement of priorities. Complete other tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Required Experience 4 years combination of education and successful work experience may be considered, in lieu of a bachelor's degree. 3-5 years of fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector with a demonstrated record of accomplishment with annual giving and major gifts of $1,000 or more. Capacity to interact comfortably with donors and the TPT Board Directors Experience using CRM software. Preferred Experience 7+ years of fundraising experience with demonstrated record of accomplishment with annual giving or gifts of $2,500 or more. Bachelor's Degree Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Proficiency using a CRM to maximize relationship management. Ability to use discretion when handling and communicating sensitive information The ability to create effective, high-quality relationships with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. T e ability to work independently and motivate self to achieve success by taking initiative and being detail oriented. Strong analytical and computer application skills: Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams. Strong focus on audience and end user needs Strong problem solving, organizational and time management skills. Excellent customer service, oral and written communications, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to locations in the greater metro area on a frequent basis, partake in some evening and weekend hours for meetings and events. Occasional travel out of the state.
