Position Summary: At Securian Financial, the Employee Benefit Solutions team cares for employees in the moments that matter by providing innovative benefit solutions. As the Growth Strategy Consultant, you will have a unique opportunity to lead the exploration and evaluation of new solutions needed to achieve our growth aspirations. You will be responsible for managing the execution of solution development from ideation to launch, working alongside cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to our group customers. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Support the long-term vision of solution offerings needed to drive growth. Lead cross-functional teams in the identification, evaluation, concept design and testing of new solutions (products, services, capabilities), ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Conduct vetting of external partners to develop partnership recommendations. Develop business cases for prioritized opportunities and vet and validate concepts. Collaborate with teams across enterprise (e.g., strategic insights/enterprise experience solutions, corporate development, innovation lab) to leverage insights, expertise and tools. Design concepts including value propositions and overall customer experience and create a build and launch plan. Define success metrics and market test designs to test and validate opportunities. Drive and facilitate regular meetings and forums with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on program goals, timelines, and progress, as well as to identify and address potential roadblocks. Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for new solution development initiatives. Facilitates decision-making from various stakeholders and partners. Presents status updates to leadership and stakeholders. Synthesize and share external market and customer research to inform growth portfolio. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business development, program management or related field within the insurance industry. Proven track record of delivering successful projects, programs or products. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strategic mindset with ability to focus on the customer while balancing needs of multiple stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree. Knowledge of insurance and financial services industry, including regulatory requirements and industry trends. Experience with large employee benefits programs. Experience with product ideation, evaluation, business case development, concept design and success metric tracking. Strong project management skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple projects simultaneously. Experience coordinating complex processes across teams and disciplines to deliver shared customer outcomes.
