This position exists to (1) provide general information and assistance to customers and (2) to prepare applications for processing by licensing specialists. Responsibilities Include:
Provides technical support and services to external customers both over the phone and in person.
Review, sort, and route incoming correspondence, applications, and requests for information. Scan documents for use in storing, tracking, and retrieving.
Processes all bounce-back emails that were undeliverable in the PELSB General Email Box.
Reviews and processes Center for Educator Licensing (CEL) and Educators online requests.
Provide backup support with the processing of paper checks to ensure there is no backlog of checks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Customer service practices and principles sufficient to identify each customer’s needs, meet quality standards for services, that result in customer satisfaction
Knowledge of:
Data entry procedures and systems, such as Microsoft Office or similar data entry systems.
Knowledge of word processing sufficient to use software to create, format, edit, print, and save a variety of documents.
Skill in data entry sufficient to :
Maintain accurate records and reports
Locate Identify and correct data entry errors
Ability to:
Accurately input, verify, and edit electronic data
Communicate in a variety of formats to gather and relay information with tact and diplomacy
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of licensure process for teachers, related service personnel, and administrators to ensure applicants are applying for the appropriate licensure.
Knowledge of licensing operating systems including Access, PLD, Center for Educator Licensing (CEL) and Educators sufficient to process work accordingly.
Experience with the licensing process sufficient to answer technical licensing questions
