Regions Hospital Cardiovascular Technologist in St. Paul, Minnesota

Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN is looking for exceptional, patient focused Cardiovascular Technologist to join our Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology team and make a difference for our patients and our community. The Cardiovascular Technologist works directly with the cardiologist, nurse, and other staff during cardiac interventional and electrophysiology procedures. This position provides a safe and therapeutic environment, has complete knowledge of inventory usage in coronary, structural heart, electrophysiology implants, and peripheral exams, and provides a sterile environment while assisting in performing these procedures as a scrub or monitor. In addition, the Cardiovascular Technologist coordinates, communicates, interprets, and explains patient care services to the patient, their family, health professionals, and important others. This position is expected to take call and to live within a 30-minute call back time. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 & 10hr shifts. On call weeknights and weekends required. Required Qualifications: Completion of a JRCERT-accredited program of Radiologic Technology or the ARRT-approved equivalent OR an associate or bachelor's degree in a health science-related field. BLS certification. ACLS certification within six months of hire. ARRT certification and registration OR current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) (or obtained within 20 months of hire). Must live within a 30-minute call back time. Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of an education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, which uses the standards and criteria established by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Cardiovascular Technology. Bachelor's degree in a health science-related field. Previous cardiovascular or radiology technologist experience. Cardiac Interventional Radiography Certification (CI).
