Patterson Companies Business Warehouse Lead Architect in St Paul, Minnesota

Patterson Companies, Inc. has opening for a Business Warehouse Lead Architect to perform the following duties: Design, develop, implement, maintain and administer the data warehouse environment (BW 7.4, BOBJ 4.1, ABAP RICEF) in line with the approved development plans, change requests and operational service levels, including Level 3 support for incidents and problems. Analyze pre-integration feasibility research as well as own findings, in order to build and present defensible POCs (Proofs of Concept) that show proven capabilities of new applications in post-integration environment. Design and lead the implementation of SAP UI5 / Fiori Analytics model, based on XS OData protocol. Lead the development of ABAP RICEF in order to support data warehouse requirements of OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) systems. Provide day to day direction and technical integration expertise to BI development team. Oversee and provide expert-level guidance to team members on technical aspects of integrating SAP products (including BW, HANA, BOBJ and BPC) to provide solutions relating to customer engagement, order management, financial reporting, analytics and go-to-market functionality. Provide expert-level guidance to BI and Infrastructure teams on latest product releases and industry best practices relating to BW and HANA in order to enable seamless installations and upgrades throughout solution life cycle. Leverage business knowledge and technical expertise to advance the overall strategies relating to SAP Business Warehouse and HANA Database environment, as well as executional elements such as ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) methodologies supporting that environment. Design architectural governance strategies, oversee development of processes for executing on critical architectural decisions, and take lead in communicating new processes to impacted teams in order to maximize buy-in. Establish and communicate standards for data quality, BW security and system availability. Establish protocols for providing support on BW components, and maintain leading-edge knowledge surrounding those components in order to ensure that the established protocols are in line with industry best practices. Develop systematic approach to providing data-related support, such as updating jobs, establishing metrics, performance tuning and data optimization, for IT initiatives that have data impact. Play critical role in department strategy planning process. Based on performance and capabilities of the current data warehousing structure, develop and provide sound projections to department leadership regarding future hardware, software, configuration and structural support needs. Partner with Business Intelligence related roles of all levels, including business unit leadership, in furtherance of the above strategies and responsibilities.
