Park Nicollet Health Services Oncology Research Nurse Fellowship in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Oncology Research Nurse Fellow to join our Research and Education team! Position Summary: The Oncology Research Nurse Fellowship is a twelve-month program focusing on building critical thinking, professional practice skills, and clinical competency in the context of a clinical research setting. The Nurse Fellow will serve as a trainee to gain expertise in the treatment and care of Oncology patients enrolled in clinical trials. The Nurse Fellowship will be guided by a mutually beneficial set of goals and objectives, developed jointly by the Nurse Fellow to reflect specific needs and by the organization to reflect its forecasted needs for assistance during the Fellowship period. The Nurse Fellow will utilize a systematic approach to nursing practice, incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. The Nurse Fellow must be a graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing and MN Nursing License is required. No previous experience in the specialty area is required. The Metro-Minnesota Community Oncology Research Consortium (MMCORC) is a nonprofit research program sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and participating hospitals and clinics. We are a consortium consisting of 25 community hospitals and oncology clinics with over 160 physician members in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro-area and surrounding communities, extending to the western Wisconsin area. Our programs mission is to bring the advantages of cancer research to the community. MMCORC provides the opportunity for patients and physicians to have access to National Cancer Institute (NCI) and pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials for all types of adult cancer.
