Park Nicollet Health Care Service Clinician, Home Medical Equipment Sleep III in St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Home Medical Equipment Sleep Clinician III to join our Health Care Products team! Position Summary: The Home Medical Equipment Sleep Clinician III collaborates with the Health Care Team in treating sleep breathing disorders and providing instruction and services to patients. This position will assist the CPAP Services Team in providing sleep related medical equipment to patients in an efficient manner while assisting those patients in becoming compliant with their therapy. This position will be responsible for instructing and educating patients regarding the use of the Home Care products for the treatment of their Sleep Disorder Breathing. The position will include continuing education and follow-up for these patients. It may also include the inventory and ordering of supplies, cleaning, testing, and maintaining all returned products as well as documentation to assure billing of equipment and supplies. This position will work closely with the Sleep Center, Pulmonary/Sleep Clinic, and the other CPAP Services staff. This position may be asked to lead certain projects. This position will be expected to lead and teach the rest of the clinical staff. This person may be required to travel to all the CPAP locations within a given week. Work Schedule: FTE 1.0, 40 hours per week, days, Mon - Fri. Minimum Qualifications: Three years' experience in a healthcare setting required. Required Qualifications: Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: MN Respiratory Therapy license required. BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients. Must have customer service and sales skills, verbal communication, and telephone etiquette skills. Needs ability to solve complex problems and work independently. Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Telephone; Personal Computer (Utilizing Applicable Software); CRT; Calculator; Printer; Photocopier; and FAX Machine. Preferred Qualifications: Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Knowledge of sleep breathing disorders and the therapeutic modalities used to treat the disorder. Knowledge of medical center charting and billing procedures. Ability to effectively communicate with others, especially the patient care team. Ability to collaborate with health care team in the delivery of patient care interventions. Ability to troubleshoot problems with home medical equipment, especially Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) equipment.
