Chenega Agile Real-Time Solutions (CARS) was created with the purpose of providing integrated enterprise IT support to Federal customers both CONUS and OCONUS. CARS employs Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with decades of experience working in the Federal marketplace.

The Test and Evaluation Engineer will effectively perform test activities to meet mission goals while analyzing system requirements, concepts of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation/test plans and procedures based on JIRA tickets, as well as prepare for and conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting status.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Agile Scrum activities including Daily Scrums, Sprints, Release Planning exercises, and Retrospective activities while adhering to Agile cadences.

  • Verify and confirm new features by exercising the test plan included in release deployments via automated tests.

  • Evaluate and complete test exercises on assigned JIRA ticket taskings.

  • Provide leadership and guidance as needed to the test team for specific projects.

  • Communicate test activities and/or results to the Project Leads, Scrum Master, Product Owners, and Customers as needed during the Agile Process.

  • Ensure user stories and specific to the customer-reported discrepancies and needs.

  • Participate in software audits (package and release audits) conducted by the Quality Control team.

  • Function as Liaison between Program Manager, government, and contract POCs as needed.

  • Support the development of government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports.

  • Work with the Aeronautical Production Test organization to ensure integrity across the QA spectrum.

  • Provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance areas.

  • Design and implement automated testing tools when possible and update tools as needed to ensure currency and accuracy.

  • Manage customer communications, i.e., Atlassian Suite Customer Boards and visits to the customer site as needed.

  • Be able to work and produce results on an independent basis.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience OR; Master’s degree with less than 2+ years of prior relevant experience; OR HS and 8+ years of related experience.

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.

  • Hybrid schedule

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Initial Top-Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

  • Experience in front-end and back-end test verification.

  • Familiarity with the pace and environment of a SAFe Agile and DevOps development environment.

  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting.

  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.

  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.

  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.

  • Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.

  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.

  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired.

  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
