Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $131,500.00 - $157,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for talent management? We are looking for a Senior Manager, Talent Management to join our team. In this role, you will assess and anticipate HR-related needs, develop integrated solutions, and partner with executive management to align Talent Management services with business objectives.

The main purpose of this job is to assess and anticipate HR-related needs for the business and seek to develop integrated solutions by partnering across the Talent Management function. This role is responsible for proactively working with executive management in designated markets or segments to align Talent Management services with their business objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as an advisor and strategic partner to leaders on talent management issues such as retention, organizational structure, performance management, policy interpretation, employee relations, and conflict resolution.

  • Consult with executive management to provide advice and challenge thinking on talent management needs.

  • Lead and develop a portion of the Talent Management team, ensuring they have the necessary skills in consulting, relationship building, problem-solving, data literacy, and employee relations.

  • Provide guidance on the creation and implementation of company policies and Talent Management Consulting processes.

  • Use data to inform executive management about workforce issues and provide solutions.

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Inclusion, Talent Experience, and Culture to address business needs and provide insights.

  • Represent and provide input into large projects that enhance the efficiency of the Talent Management team.

  • Serve as a point of contact for team member communications and be involved in community organizations or events.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate team members to implement department strategy and manage workflow.

  • Perform management functions including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations, and disciplinary actions.

  • Support budget management, planning, and expenditure.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Broad knowledge of HR disciplines such as inclusion, compensation, benefits, talent experience, and recruiting.

  • Proven ability to handle employee relations issues and strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and foster a positive team environment.

  • Demonstrate ability to advise and consult; skilled at influencing and challenging thought

  • Good change management and project management capabilities

  • Solid Business acumen/financial literacy – ability to assess financial impact, learn about the business and apply insights

  • Ability to thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment and is collaborative, accountable, and self-motivated

  • Intermediate literacy knowledge – be curious, draw conclusions and insights from data

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems

  • Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business

  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 8+ years of senior-level human resources experience in a consultant, generalist, or equivalent role.

  • 4+ years of leadership/supervisory experience.

**Hybrid Schedule: In office 2-3 days per week

At Commerce, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $131,500 to $157,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.#LI-Hybrid
