Armstrong Teasdale LLP Docket Coordinator in St. Louis, Missouri
Summary Description: The Docket Coordinator manages the docket system to track deadlines and mitigate malpractice. This role may support US or global docketing processes and supports Intellectual Property. - Processes and dockets trademark, copyright, enforcement and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) deadlines in Firm docketing system
- Processes incoming mail, both electronic and physical, for deadline reviews and filings
- Processes and dockets email requests from attorneys, team members, and others
- Analyzes and formats data in Excel to provide to in-house counsel or client
- Communicates with timekeepers regarding docketing matters
- Updates docketing system when a matter has any change in status; circulates docket sheets
- Serves as backup to ensure that client docketing system is updated
- May download and save pleadings to the Firm's internal document management system / case docket and circulate to the case team for TTAB matters
- Drafts emails for review by attorneys; communicates information to Client or Global Associate; updates docket and client database
- May review docket and documentation regarding requirements from the US Patent and Trademark Office (US PTO) of a specific country;updates any relevant correspondence and documentation to client database; gathers all trademark-related documents and forwards to the Global Associates
- Creates charts and/or reports for clients including obtaining instructions from client
- Processes invoices, runs conflicts, opens new matters and other internal administrative Firm processes
