Job Summary:
This position will be reporting to the Finance Manager of ANZ. The primary focus of the Financial Accountant is to manage the general accounting and reporting of Australia by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. The Financial Accountant is to perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
Essential Functions:
Process customer invoices and collections.
Review and process supplier invoices and employee reimbursements.
Process and manage credit card reconciliation.
Assist with the related parties' journals and transaction recording.
Perform bank reconciliation
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate ledgers.
Prepare and lodge company's monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS)
Perform and manage monthly & quarterly general ledger closing procedures.
Support and assist with additional projects and / or ad-hoc tasks as required.
Ensure compliance to ZOLL policies and procedures
Skill Requirements:
Degree in accounting and CPA/CA preferred but not essential.
Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
Experience in Oracle/Quick books/Reckon/Hyperion or other ERP system
Strong excel skills and good working knowledge of other Microsoft office suite applications and MS Teams
Have exposure to processes, procedures and compliance
Excellent written and communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills and can do attitude
Team player
Required/Preferred Experience:
Relevant experience of a minimum of 3 years in general accounting and reporting
Has the right to work in Australia
