Position Summary The Chemistry Department at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin in August of 2025. COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY HIGHLIGHTS The College of Saint Benedict (CSB), a liberal arts college for women, and Saint John's University (SJU), a liberal arts college for men, are located in the central lakes area of Minnesota, surrounded by more than 3,000 acres of pristine forests, prairies, and lakes. Responsibilities A successful candidate will have a substantial background in any of organic, inorganic, bioorganic, bioinorganic, organometallic chemistry and teach courses and laboratories in chemical reactivity as part of our innovative curriculum (https://www.csbsju.edu/chemistry/curriculum) as well as upper division courses in their field of expertise. A successful candidate will have a strong commitment to innovative undergraduate teaching and research in the context of a liberal arts institution, and a desire to teach across chemistry sub-disciplines. A successful candidate will also have the ability to maintain an active undergraduate research program in a modern facility with robust instrumentatio . In addition, this position will serve as an academic advisor, helping students craft 4-year plans, as well as summer and post-graduate plans. This position will also contribute to service work aimed at moving the department and institution forward. Postdoctoral experience is preferred; a Ph.D. is required by August 2025.
