Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital Licensed Nursing Assistant/Unit Secretary - Float in St. Johnsbury, Vermont
Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) has a great opportunity for a Licensed Nursing Assistant Unit Secretary (LNA/Unit Secretary) Float. The LNA/Unit Secretary Float will perform routine clinical and non-clinical tasks on a specified nursing unit. Units will include Med/Surg, Birth Center, ICU, Emergency Department and working as a patient sitter in the Clinical Safety Patient Observer role. Training will be provided for all units. Duties include preparing and maintaining the medical record, calling and scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, requisitioning services, and performing basic nursing and restorative skills. The CPSO provides direct patient observation in order to redirect unsafe patient behaviors in an inpatient setting. They also perform, within their scope of practice, basic activities related to the patient's safety, care and comfort. Examples include but not limited to, getting the patient dressed, feeding or helping to mobilize. All basic activities require the CPSO to be within observation of the patient.
