Ascension Health Medical Asst- Julington Creek in St. Johns, Florida

We Are Hiring

Sign- on Bonus available for qualified candidates!!

$1,000 sign- on bonus paid to the new/rehired associates as follows: ○ $500 in first paycheck after start date ○ $250 paid after successful completion of the introductory 90 day period. ○ $250 paid 6 months after start date. ● Includes rehires if departure was more than 6 months prior to rehire date.

**Hours range from 7-5 Monday - Friday 40 hours per week

What You Will Do

Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

  • Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.

  • Perform select clinical duties.

  • Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.

  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.

  • Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.

  • Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies.

  • Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

  • Medical Assistant preferred.

  • Certified Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
