The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for the development and management of existing vendors ensuring they deliver on Linx requirements for Quality, Delivery and Cost. You will also be responsible for auditing potential new vendors to determine if they can meet the requirements of Linx. This role is a hybrid based role working from our St Ives office.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Lead and develop your team of x2 Quality Technicians; coach and grow their competencies and behaviours to achieve personal and company targets (Supplier PPM, ECN, NCR & Incoming Inspection Metrics).

  • Taking ownership of supplier quality issues raised through the operations daily management meetings and communicated via the ME's and relevant Leaders ensuring prompt containment and root cause is established followed by robust countermeasures (NCR) to prevent re-occurrence.

  • Planning, organising and driving sustainable Quality improvement across incumbent supplier base; being out in the supply chain building robustness, auditing processes and resolving issues at Gemba.

  • Ensuring the supply base is capable of meeting requirements for Quality by providing support for NPD projects via the implementation of selected APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) tools alongside Veralto approved tools and processes.

  • Dimensional verification (including generating full dimensional reports) of new parts under ECN or NPD programmes; capable of using various pieces of equipment for Dimensional Metrology studies e.g. CMM, Micrometers, DTI

  • Support the Strategic Buyers in identifying, qualifying and developing new vendors capable of fulfilling the QDCI requirements of Linx; driving sustainable quality improvements across the supply base.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Experience working within a company producing electromechanical assemblies (preferred not essential) or industrial manufacturing.

  • Mechanical Engineering qualifications desired but not essential

  • Has experience / and understanding of the APQP / PPAP tools

  • Technical knowledge to interpret drawings & including Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) as well as taking dimensional measurements to these drawings providing a result. Knowledge of CAD useful but not essential.

  • Proven Management experience; achieving results through others and developing direct reportse grow talent; we give you the opportunity to develop your career based on your strengths.
