St Cloud State University MBA Assistant Director- Program Advisor in St. Cloud, Minnesota
This position provides course and program advisement to students in the Master of Business Administration Program. Oversee ongoing program admissions activities and provide functional leadership to areas of the Master of Business Administration Program including program satisfaction, student engagement, and continuous improvement of support and services for students Provide holistic academic advising and success coaching for students throughout their MBA Program Serve as the advisor of record for students in the Master of Business Administration program. Introduce and orient students to their academic requirements, academic planning tools and campus resources. Develop program plans and resources for student progression through the program. Review and recommend courses of action for changes in program concentrations, course substitutions, and other program appeals. Assist students in course and program concentration selection and addition of business graduate certificates. Assist students with navigating University procedures and processes as needed. Establish trust with students, develop rapport and a working relationship that includes meeting as required and tracking of student progress. Provide timely intervention when students are identified as needing support. Assess student needs and provide appropriate academic and personal coaching, and, when necessary, connect students to appropriate campus and/or community resources. Develop success plans with students who are on academic warning or probation, monitoring goal progress. Conduct admissions operations for MBA program students Approve students for admission to MBA program. Serve as primary liaison with Graduate Studies Admissions Respond to admissions queries. Plan and conduct information sessions. Approve welcome emails and help students complete onboarding activities for their program start. Enhance student success through communication, policy guidance, and faculty outreach Develop and send regular program-level communication to MBA students Uphold the integrity of academic and curricular policies established by the University and the School. Exercise informed judgment to apply exceptions when warranted to ensure uniform academic policy practices and standards and timely degree progress for students.? Communicate, as needed, with faculty delivering MBA courses, taking a collaborative approach to student support, staying up-to-date on academic program requirements and opportunities and sharing pertinent updates on behalf of Advising and Student Success. Serve as a participating member of the Master of Business Administration Program Team Represent HBS at campus events and meetings. Serve as a liaison in one or more of the following or similar capacities, Graduate Studies, International Studies, Records and Registration, Office of Financial Aid, and external partners who support the MBA program. Assist with the assessment of MBA programs and services to ensure excellence. Engage in regular professional development. Other duties as assigned
