St Cloud State University Executive Director of Advising and Student Success in St. Cloud, Minnesota

The Executive Director of Advising & Student Success leads and oversees all services and operations of Advising & Student Transitions (A&ST) including the design, implementation and assessment of the university s advising system; implementation and operation of the university s early-alert student success platform (EAB Navigate); outreach and intervention for student success; orientation/onboarding programs (including Advising and Registration events and Huskies First Four), supervision of staff advisors, student success coaches, and staff; and providing resources and training support for faculty advisors and academic staff in colleges/schools. The Executive Director will perform duties or lead initiatives/projects outside of A&ST, as delegated by Dean/AVP, that support the mission of the University College and contribute to a culture of student-centered, individualized support for student success. The Executive Director works in cooperation and close partnership with colleagues in Academic Affairs, Admissions, Records and Registration, the Trio Student Success Program, Multicultural Student Services, Center for International Studies, Career Center, and Student Affairs to promote and support student success. The salary range for this position is $37.60-$54.16/hour ($78,509-$113,086/year) Position Responsibilities: Lead, oversee, and implement all operations, services, programs, and activities in A&ST, including academic advising, success coaching, new student orientation/onboarding, outreach and intervention for student success, and support and training for faculty advisors and academic staff. Oversee budget for A&ST, including establishing financial goals, monitoring, and adjusting to ensure budget is both met and sustainable in the long and short term. Supervise department personnel, including but not limited to hiring, coaching and developing, promoting, rewarding, assigning and reviewing of work, directing work, approving transfers, disciplining, suspending, discharging and adjusting grievances to ensure all A&ST advising processes flow smoothly; ensure all expenditures for A&ST are within budget; collective bargaining agreements and Minnesota State policies and procedures are implemented and appropriately enforced, all applicable laws and regulations are implemented and enforced, and all employees and applicants receive equitable treatment. Create and promote a culture of inclusive excellence that is committed to advancing the university's principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Oversee implementation and all operations of the university s student success platform (EAB Navigate), which is used for student outreach and intervention, including but not limited to: alerts and Progress Report Campaigns, training and support for faculty and staff on campaigns, and ensure that data on academic advising and student success are collected, maintained and disseminated to Dean/AVP and senior leaders to inform data-driven decision making. Perform administrative duties in University College and lead student success projects/initiatives as assigned by Dean/AVP. Work collaboratively with colleagues across university units for student success initiatives, projects, or services. Perform other duties as assigned.
