The purpose of this position is as the IT Department Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the IT project portfolio lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and maintenance. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of IT projects while meeting organizational objectives and delivering measurable business value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, initiation, and execution of various, complex IT projects, adhering to established timelines and budgets.

  • Define project scopes, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including IT, finance, operations, and HR, to gather requirements and facilitate user acceptance testing.

  • Partner with external vendors and consultants to leverage their expertise in IT projects and systems implementation best practices and technologies.

  • Conduct regular status meetings and communicate project updates to stakeholders, providing transparency and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.

  • Manage change requests and scope creep, evaluating their impact on project timelines, budgets, and resources, and making recommendations for adjustments as needed.

  • Ensure the successful transition from implementation to post-go-live support, including user training, documentation, and ongoing system maintenance.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and lessons learned sessions to capture insights and best practices for future IT projects.

  • Other technical, management, fulfillment, training, etc. duties as assigned.

    Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Proven experience (8+ years) managing large-scale IT implementation projects, preferably in a multi-site or global organization.

  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and modules, such as finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and HR.

  • Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative work environment.

  • Background in general systems engineering and administration preferred.

  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering results and driving continuous improvement.

  • Experience working with ERP vendors, system integrators, and third-party consultants.

  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and/or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
