Construction Labourer

PeopleReady of St. Catharines, ON is now hiring ConstructionLabourer! As a Construction Labourer, you will work at construction sites performing a wide range of tasks while assisting other tradespeople and machine operators.

Our construction clients are reputable companies known Province wide. As a temporary Construction Labourerer, your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's projects. You'll be assisting onsite trades with a variety of tasks, including loading and unloading materials, setting up and tearing down job sites, cleaning, painting, and more. Your hard work and dedication contribute directly to the success of our client's projects, and we appreciate your commitment to excellence. Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17.21 / hour + Vacation Pay

What you'll be doing as a Construction Labourer:

• Follow health and safety policies and procedures ensuring a safe work environment

• Cleaning and preparing of job sites

• Loading and delivering site materials

• Removal of debris on a jobsite and putting in dumpsters (wood, drywall, metal fixtures, construction materials, etc)

• Use of hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, sledgehammer, etc)

• Use of machinery (shop vac, lawn mower, snow blower, jack hammer, reciprocating saw, etc)

• Set up, take down of ladders, fencing and other temporary onsite equipment

• Various manual labour tasks as requested by site supervisors

Available shifts:

Shift timings - 1st Shift - Day

Job requirements:

• Excellent physical fitness with the ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs

• Own personal pair of CSA Green Tab steel toe boots required

• Previous construction/restoration experience preferred but not required 

• General understanding of customer service, principles and practices

• Ability to work within a team or independently as needed

• Work sites may be both indoors and outdoors in a variety of seasonal weather conditions
