Description
Provide support to the Office of Events and Conferences and the University Golf Course in planning and executing daily operation and events.
Examples of Duties
Assist with the event management and providing onsite support for all internal and external events run through the Office of Events and Conferences
Assist with all billing and invoicing for internal and external events run through the Office of Events and Conferences
Content development, including event collateral and marketing promotions
Assist with daily operations for the Office of Events and Conferences
Assist with the management of the daily operations of the Golf Course Shop & Employees, including, but not limited to monthly schedules for employees
Prepare and mail out golf course membership applications. Maintain database of memberships.
Process membership applications, mail membership cards. Complete deposits for memberships.
Coordinate all golf course leagues tee times with league coordinates. Assist in facilitating tournaments at Golf Course.
Typical Qualifications
High School Diploma or its equivalency required
Years of Experience –
Three (3) years of relevant clerical/administrative experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Possess good organizational skills and able to communicate effectively. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Package, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.

Ability to handle highly confidential material, understanding that all University information should only be disclosed to others who have a need to know, for legitimate business reasons. Have the ability to exercise and apply sound judgment and decision-making skills as well as the ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality of data.
Ability to balance priorities to accomplish assigned tasks within the required time frame and to be able to shift quickly between several tasks without loss of continuity.
Has advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software. (Specifically, Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as the ability to stay current with emerging office technologies.
Able to effectively evaluate and process forms; verify data for accuracy, completeness and compliance within established procedures; enter data into computer system, monitor, calculate and submit time sheets, maintain confidential files and data.
Ability to type, compose and edit correspondence, memos, letters, agendas and reports; revise schedules, forms, reports, records, and other information; prepare statistical information for use in reports.
Initiate and answer telephone calls; screen and direct calls; greet visitors and direct to appropriate personnel; route and distribute incoming mail and other materials; prepare outgoing mail and packages.
Ability to accept supervision, assignments, change and correction.
Able to effectively communicate general information to University constituency, however, some situations may require the ability to relay complex or adverse information with tact and diplomacy.
Proven effectiveness in dealing with a wide range of professionals, staff, and administrators.

Physically able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.

Possesses dexterity abilities required to operate a computer and other office equipment to perform related job responsibilities.
