Medical Biller, Springville NYFull Time. Days. 8:00AM - 5:00PMCompensation is based on experience: $18.16-$19.28 per hourBenefits include Health and Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Time, Pension Plan and moreAs a key member of Bertrand Chaffee Hospital's Patient Accounts team, you will examine and bill all Accounts Receivable, primary and secondary claims; review mail correspondence, denials and phone calls from insurance companies as well as patients. Understand and maintain all phases of billing. Assist in analyzing of open claims - verification of timely submission and claim resolution as needed. Timely filing issues/denials leading to lost revenue. Assist in maintaining A/R over 120. Reviews all accounts receivable claims. Transmits all claims sent electronically. Corrects all errors and prints hardcopies of UB04’s and 1500’s not sent electronically to third party payers. Prepares trial balance reports for inpatient, outpatient, Medicare, Medicaid and all other carriers. Process denials and insurance explanation of Benefits. This position is 100% On-Site with the long term potential of hybrid working arrangement. Requirements: Strong customer service and communication skills are a must. HS/GED with 3 years of medical billing both professional and institutional claims spanning all types of carriers to include Government and Medicare. Nursing Home billing knowledge a plus. No Fault Workers Compensation a plus. Experience with eClinicalWorks, PointClickCare. Claim Master, and/or HMS a plus.
