V2X Logistics Management Specialist (Warehouse), INSCOM in Springfield, Virginia

Under the United States (U.S.) Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Global Intelligence Logistics and Engineering (GILE) program, Team V2X will provide: global multi-disciplined engineering; facilities; sustainment and maintenance of non-standard (non-Program of Record) and Program of Record intelligence systems to include the integration of new intelligence technologies and capabilities; Portal management; hardware design and integration; network management; technology development and application; and supply chain / logistics support to INSCOM, U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), Army Intelligence, Joint Forces, Combatant Commands, and the Intelligence Community (IC). Team V2X will enable INSCOM’s mission of anticipating requirements and employing innovative techniques to equip and sustain Soldiers, Civilians, systems, and facilities. As a dedicated partner to INSCOM G4, Team V2X is committed to enhancing readiness as part of Combined, Joint, and IC interdependent teams supporting tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence units, personnel, ground and aerial intelligence equipment, operation facilities, and infrastructure from multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

  • Identify all activities involved in providing needed warehousing logistics support.   

  • Integrate actions required of warehouse personnel into a comprehensive logistics plan in support of warehouse operations. 

  • Monitor progress toward meeting the logistics plan and identify the cause and impact of delays or other problems regarding outbound shipments. 

  • Adjust plans and schedules for warehouse operations, as required, or by direction of the Government personnel. 

  • Performs routine research, prepares documents, and forwards to applicable sources. Maintains the shipment register and records the status of inbound and outbound material.   

  • Provides routine support for mission material management and handling requirements. Performs packing, shipping, receiving, handling, transportation and storage functions. Receives, stores, issues, segregates, cares, preserves, inspects, packs, and accounts for materiel.   

  • Determines work requirements within available contractor warehouse personnel and reports resource requirements to Government Warehouse Manager.  

  • Uses automation to print Materiel Release Orders (MRO) or barcode labels for accountability and verifies data.  

  • Ensures warehouse areas are clean and shelf items are displayed in a neat manner.  

  • Ensures the proper stocking, storing, and handling of classified information, software, firmware, and hardware.  

  • Receives various incoming commodities, stocks shelves, checks shipping documents on incoming / outgoing shipments, performs data entry, conducts inventories, and accounts for and rotates materiel.  

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; OR

  • Associate's degree and four (4) years of progressive experience in supply or logistics operations; OR

  • High School Diploma and eight (8) years of of progressive experience in supply or logistics operations.

  • Experience in logistics and supply.

  • Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated work experience directly related to material handling.

  • Experience in receiving, inspecting, packing and shipping government material. Familiar with modes of transportation.

  • Experience in utilizing ADP systems and logistics-oriented software applications to maintain an accounting of funds allocated and expended for material.

    Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Must be a US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704.

    Experience / Skills:

  • Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift 50lbs.

  • Knowledge of military logistics, supply, and general shop operations.

  • Knowledge in shipping, receiving, storing, issuing stock control measures and accounting procedures.

  • Knowledge in handling, movement, storage, and maintenance of ammunition, medical, and food supplies.

  • Establish and maintain stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting and supply reports.

  • Review and verify quantities received against bills of contracts, purchase requests, and shipping documents.

  • Unload, unpack, count, segregate, palletize, and store incoming supplies and equipment.

  • Construct bins, shelving and other storage aids.

  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements regarding warehouse and storage operations.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of fire safety requirements in management, layout, and security of warehouse operations.

  • Ability to use hand tools such as hammers, pry-bars, cutters, and pliers, as well as hand trucks, hand-lifts, and pallet jacks.

  • Safely operate portable scaffolds, ladders, electric or fuel-powered five (5)-ton lift, and capacity forklifts.

  • Conditions for operating 5-ton capacity forklifts range from indoor operation on wood, compressed gravel or dirt, or concrete surfaces to operation in extreme outdoor conditions on surfaces ranging from compressed dirt, asphalt, concrete to rutted gravel surfaces.

  • Fluent in the English language including the ability to read, write, and comprehend relevant logistics documentation.

  • Must safely operate highway rated vehicles of up to 5-ton capacity. Valid state motor vehicle driver’s license is required.

  • Commercial motor vehicle driver’s license desired.

  • Knowledgeable of the Federal Supply System.

  • Knowledge of software applications to include word processing and ability to modify / tailor existing databases to generate, manipulate, and analyze logistics data.

  • Familiar with special handling, exemptions, tariff, and duty requirements for United States (U.S.) military equipment / material through U.S. and foreign customs.

  • Capable of interfacing with foreign customs authorities to expedite movement of equipment / material through the customs process.
