Cabela's Retail POS Developer 2 in Springfield, United States
POSITION SUMMARY:
Will be a member of the POS Retail team responsible for the development and support of POS capabilities across multiple countries. As part of a dynamic team with growing demand, this role will be responsible for requirements gathering, development and testing of POS functionality. In addition, this includes support of day-to-day needs of multiple business units to guarantee that the POS system is behaving as expected on all transaction events; along with other responsibilities as assigned. This role will work with team members in multiple locations; along with the POS Support team, to guarantee the highest level of up-time possible.
Required Skills & Experience
2+ years hands-on experience developing in Java
BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or 4 years of IT Experience
Solid understanding of XML
Ability to integrate 3rd party API’s
Strong Knowledge of SQL and Stored Procedures
Strong Knowledge of Debugging on Multi-Tier System
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience working with Flooid BeanStore POS Software
Knowledge of ACI RCS, or Payment Gateways
Knowledge of iSeries
Ability to Learn New Languages
Familiarity with Git
Familiarity with JIRA
Understanding of SUSE Linux – Server and POS
Knowledge of MariaDB
Understanding of PII and PCI compliance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITES:
Understands regulatory and compliance process
SQL skills and Logic application
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- 0-25%
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regular computer work, and sitting
Occasional walking, standing, and lifting
