General Operations Manager – Springfield, Oregon The General Operations Manager, at the Springfield Oregon Distribution Center, is responsible for the achievements of department/division/unit’s productivity and quality goals. Provides strategic leadership and coaching to team members through a shared vision for the operation. Responsible for P&L management, staffing, and ensuring the execution and accountability of KPIs, regulations and team member safety. Responsibilities: (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned). 1. Effectively leads overall warehouse operations through consistent product availability, warehouse productivity, inventory, asset preservation and cost reduction efforts. Manages and controls all expenses attributable to total operations and distribution of products, equipment utilization and distribution center buildings and property. Plans and directs the activities of the warehouse team members involved in all operations. This includes overseeing workflows and levels of activity to ensure the product is received and distributed timely. 2. Assesses data related to team member productivity, inventory levels and turns, quality & accuracy, and develops and implements policies and procedures to improve efficiency and/or overall Regional Distribution Center performance. 3. Ensures all areas of the operations comply with internal and external safety standards and/or regulations, including audit and governmental agencies. Implements and directs Lean methodology and uses the principals to lead continuous improvement within the Distribution Centers. Analyzes performance metrics to ensure desired results are achieved, the facility is operating efficiently, and corrective and preventative actions are created and implemented when necessary. 4. Accountability for meeting/exceeding goals. Strategic planning/forecasting including labor forecasts (direct/indirect). 5. Plans, manages, and achieves results through vigilant focus on KPI’s, Quality and Service goals; utilizing forecasting methodologies and tools. Reviews performance data (financial, sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels towards goals. Develops an understanding of the current state, the desired future state, develops and executes plans and strategies to close the gaps. 6. Provides strategic leadership and coaching to all team members through a shared vision for the operation. Communicates effectively with all levels in the organization, with clear and concise messaging. Leads and directs managers. In partnership with Human Resources, this role oversees team member relations including the handling of inquiries, issue resolution, performance appraisals, and team member counseling. 7. Fiduciary responsible to the business and customers. Creates financial budgets, financial forecasts, and reporting. Education & Experience: · Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. · 5-7 years of experience, preferably in Distribution, Manufacturing and other related business. · Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Licenses & Certifications: Six sigma or Lean Methodology implementation and driving business results. Work Environment: (Indoor/Outdoor/Heat/Cold) Generally, works in non-climate-controlled distribution center. Travel: Travel may vary in length and duration.
