  • Competitive Compensation: The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $45.42 – $67.85. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

In this full-time (1.00 FTE) Day shift position, you'll:

  • Be responsible for performing diagnostic and special procedures ultrasonography in accordance with established policies and procedures. Must use independent judgment in applying knowledge of clinical cardiology, acoustic imaging technology, and problem-solving skills to optimize the echocardiographic evaluation, tailoring and expanding the exam to ensure comprehensiveness and diagnostic accuracy.

  • Perform prescribed ultrasound procedures using a variety of equipment to get preliminary echocardiographic measurements. Must be competent at the performance of adult echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and contrast studies.

  • Follow department imaging protocols, appropriately acquire all echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports for the interpreting physician, and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician when necessary.

  • Prepare, supply and equip ultrasound rooms to meet specific cardiologist and physician requirements for procedures.

To be a great fit, you'll have:

  • Accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program degree (CAAHEP accredited program preferred). A minimum six months full-time cardiac internship strongly preferred.

  • Eligibility for ARDMS registration, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-Adult) credential upon date of hire. New graduates have one year to obtain registration through ARDMS or CCI.

  • Registration with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI). May work under OBMI Temporary license pending ARDMS or CCI registration.

  • Basic Life Support certification with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
