Competitive Compensation: The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $45.42 – $67.85. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
In this full-time (1.00 FTE) Day shift position, you'll:
Be responsible for performing diagnostic and special procedures ultrasonography in accordance with established policies and procedures. Must use independent judgment in applying knowledge of clinical cardiology, acoustic imaging technology, and problem-solving skills to optimize the echocardiographic evaluation, tailoring and expanding the exam to ensure comprehensiveness and diagnostic accuracy.
Perform prescribed ultrasound procedures using a variety of equipment to get preliminary echocardiographic measurements. Must be competent at the performance of adult echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and contrast studies.
Follow department imaging protocols, appropriately acquire all echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports for the interpreting physician, and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physician when necessary.
Prepare, supply and equip ultrasound rooms to meet specific cardiologist and physician requirements for procedures.
To be a great fit, you'll have:
Accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program degree (CAAHEP accredited program preferred). A minimum six months full-time cardiac internship strongly preferred.
Eligibility for ARDMS registration, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS-Adult) credential upon date of hire. New graduates have one year to obtain registration through ARDMS or CCI.
Registration with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI). May work under OBMI Temporary license pending ARDMS or CCI registration.
Basic Life Support certification with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
