Position Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Electricians to join our team in our Springfield Assembly Plant. This position is responsible for ensuring that safe, and timely technical support is offered as the foundation of production uptime and facility readiness. Familiarity with electrical supply circuits and related industrial automation is key. These are represented positions with excellent benefits including dental, medical and a generous 401k.

Must be able to work any shift. Starting hourly rate of $35.02/hour, plus 6% shift differential (2nd or 3rd shift), paid overtime and excellent benefits.

Responsibilities

• Seeking experience troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment

• Familiarity and adherence with NEC and Chicago Code

• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and OSHA Regulations

• Ability to work with little supervision

• Good experience running conduit, pulling wires and installing equipment.

• Journeyman's card and/ or 8 years verifiable experience

• Ability to work any shift

Minimum Requirements

• Qualified Journeyman Electrician having successfully completed a government sponsored apprenticeship

OR

• Equivalent 8 years experience as an Industrial Electrician

Additional Requirements

• Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

• Must be able to work on any shift.

Desired Skills

• (PLC) Programmable logic controller and robotics knowledge and experience.
