+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ |   | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ |   | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ |   | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | # Accounts Receivable Specialist | | | | ## Location: Springfield, OH, 45505 | | | | ### Primary Responsibilities | | | | - Assist with the billing of all agency claims to Medicaid, the | | Mental Health and Recovery Board, commercial insurances, grants, | | and clients | | - Process payments, research discrepancies, and make necessary | | account adjustments | | - Work to collect any outstanding balances | | - Maintain highly confidential client information | | | | ### Additional Responsibilities as Assigned | | | | 1. Verify benefits and pre-certification requirements prior to | | clients receiving services and support the Intake Specialist in | | explaining appropriate procedures to clients in order to receive | | benefits for services that may be provided | | 2. Maintain routine internal reports as requested by supervisor | | 3. Participate in agency performance improvement program | | 4. Serve on special committees, task groups, or projects as directed | | by supervisor | | 5. Represent the agency in the community | | 6. Perform any other job tasks as assigned by the supervisor | | | | ### Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | | | | - High School diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred | | - One year of experience or demonstrated knowledge of insurance | | claims and/or accounts receivable in a health care setting | | | | ### Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Necessary | | | | - Computer skills including: typing skills, database, and | | spreadsheet experience | | - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and | | draw complex conclusions | | - Ability to work as a member of a team with excellent | | communication and listening skills | | - Ability to accomplish multiple projects on time, while managing | | unexpected events | | - Mathematical aptitude | | - Organizational skills | | - Effective oral, listening, and written communication skills | | - Mobility among var ous job sites | | - Good driving record and insurable with agency insurance without | | an increase in premium | | | | ### Post Hire Offer Requirements | | | | - Negative TB test and urine drug screen | | - Acceptable criminal background check | | | | ### Post Hire Requirements | | | | - Learn and keep up to date on information relevant to duties | | - Maintain knowledge of community resources and established | | contacts | | - Comply with safety and infection control standards | | - Acquire training/education for job and self-development as | | approved by supervisor | | - Obtain cultural competency training | | | | ### Unusual Working Conditions | | | | - Exposure to clients with alcohol and other drug related problems | | - Potential for exposure to Hepatitis B, Tuberculosis, and other | | blood-borne or airborne pathogen diseases | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
