General Description

Under limited supervision, but following existing policies and procedures as well as all applicable banking laws and regulations, including BSA and AML, is responsible for the daily supervision and operations of the maintenance and payments team. Ensures all tasks and procedures are completed in a timely and accurate manner including processing loan payments, posting loan payoffs, and completing loan maintenance requests. Responsible for completing and reviewing weekly and monthly reports. Keeps the Loan Servicing Manager informed and updated regarding all issues affecting his/her area of responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and supervises the daily operations of the maintenance and payments staff. Provides leadership and monitors daily activities while providing support, guidance, and training as needed. This duty is performed daily, about 25% of the time.

  • Works closely with subordinate staff evaluating their performance, developing their abilities, and improving their output. Responsible for the selection, placement, counseling, and salary administration of all staff in his/her area of responsibility. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.

  • Works closely with the management team to develop action plans, procedures, and training materials for respective area. Ensures all subordinate staff is knowledgeable of all policies and procedures to make sure compliance regulations are maintained. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.

  • Prepares and reviews weekly and monthly reports. Monitors and performs quality assurance testing on the various processes within the team. Identifies issues and recommends improvements to the management team. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.

  • Provides information as requested for monthly business review, productivity tracking, business plans, goals, budgets, and staffing projections. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

  • Maintains a comprehensive understanding of the Jack Henry Silverlake loan system. Responsible for being knowledgeable of how the system processes loan activity and how the fields and parameters may affect those processes. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

  • Assists with difficult and complex customer issues. Responsible for problem resolution tracking, reporting, and root cause analysis when applicable. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 19 to 23 months related experience and/or training, and 1 to 6 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
