General Description

Responsible for assisting the department Market Manager and Relationship Managers with various tasks including, but not limited to, ordering third party information for loan closings, coordinating loan closings, communicating professionally with customers, preparing miscellaneous reports and various administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the assigned Market Manager and Relationship Managers in obtaining all third party reports and information necessary to prepare loan documents for any type of commercial loan closing. This includes, but is not limited to, completing the commercial loan checklist, ordering and reviewing title commitments, ordering appraisals, environmental reports, flood reports, coordinating survey information, performing and reviewing UCC lien searches, and obtaining entity documents. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.

  • Works closely with Loan Administration in coordinating the loan review and closing process. This includes ensuring accuracy on the checklist, providing prompt communication during the review process, correcting the organization of the loan file if necessary, and coordinating funding between Loan Administration and the title company. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.

  • Communicates effectively and professionally with bank customers on all inquiries and assists the Market Manager and Relationship Managers with the collection of past due loans. Responsible for preparing appropriate tickets to draw funds from existing loans or any other transaction requests from officers and/or customers. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.

  • Assists in maintaining commercial record keeping and filing systems. Classifies, sorts, and sends all applicable loan records and other documents to Loan Servicing or as otherwise directed. Completes a wide variety of word processing and spreadsheet tasks including loan correspondence, internal memorandums, internal reports, forms, and tables. This duty is performed daily, about 15% of the time.

  • Responsible for assisting with department goals assigned by the Market Manager including, but not limited to, past due loans, technical exceptions, late renewals, and past due borrower financials. This duty is performed daily, about 25% of the time.

  • Assists the Market Manager and Relationship Managers with copying, emailing, faxing, and writing letters associated with prospects, customers, and internal employees. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance. Communicates in a clear and efficient manner via various types of correspondence, such as, in person, phone, email, letters, etc. Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking rules, regulations, and laws (including BSA/AML).

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Some college and/or equivalent relevant work experience preferred.

  • 0-6 months related experience and/or training preferred
