Youth Grant Management Specialist The Youth Grant Management Specialist reports to the Director of Youth Career Pathway Initiatives. The primary functions of this position are to verify the eligibility of applicants for the YouthWorks program, provide other WIOA Youth Framework Services as needed, and carry out quality control duties for YouthWorks, and the Connecting Activities programs as needed. Ensure that project/program goals, timelines, and outcomes are on track, and that all project related reporting documentation is completed and processed in an accurate and timely manner. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage a variety of state and federally funded youth projects as assigned by the Director of Youth Career Pathway Initiatives. Ensure that projects operate in full compliance with all contract agreements, grant provisions and other relevant federal, state and local requirements. Ensure that all project tracking and reporting requirements are met to the satisfaction of the funding source. Manage project performance to ensure goals and outcomes are achieved, implement corrective action to address performance issues and provide technical assistance to subcontractors as needed. Participate in all meetings convened by the funding entity and serve as the MHHCWB\'s lead staff person for all external communication regarding the project Develop and expand community partnerships to further the objectives of youth projects and grants and improve outcomes for youth Organize community partners to advance the mission of the MHHCWB as it relates to youth development, education, employment preparation, training and support Work closely with MHHCWB staff and external partners to coordinate activities and align services across programs and funding streams Conduct quality reviews of vendor programs. Develop evaluation tools and monitoring reports and provide technical assistance as needed. Conduct regularly scheduled visits to subcontractor sites. Perform administrative duties and assume other tasks and responsibilities as assigned the Director of Youth Career Pathway Initiatives. Assist in scheduling monthly vendor meetings, Youth Council meetings and ad hoc meetings. Attend quarterly Youth Council meetings and take minutes as requested. Participate in job fairs, recruitment events and youth celebrations. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION A minimum of an Associate\'s Degree. Bachelor\'s Degree is preferred EXPERIENCE At least 2 years relevant professional experience managing projects, grants and programs is preferred. SKILLS Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to perform basic word processing and data entry. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with a variety of stakeholders Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively Strong management, organizational, problem solving, communication and leadership skills are required. Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment is essential. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and as an effective member of a team OTHER REQUIREMENTS Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
