RESPONSIBILITIES. Baystate Health, Medical Assistants perform an important role providing care to our patients. They take vital signs, perform patient intake and history, clinical orders, procedures, documentation and patient discharge. Our supportive work environment allows you to provide optimal patient care. SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday- 8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm NO weekends, NO holidays LOCATION: Baystate Health- 2 Medical Center Drive Springfield, MA QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or GED CPR-Basic Life Support of Healthcare Provider required from the American Heart Association Must be ONE of the following: ? Certified through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) ? A Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Registered as an American Medical Technologist (AMT) Education: Certificate: Medical Assistant (Required) Certifications: Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Certified Healthcare Interpreter - Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters, Certified Medical Assistant - Other, Credentialing must be awarded by a third-party credentialing body which can be obtained through: 1. Registered through Medical Assistant (ARMA) - (Minimum Requirement); 2. Registered through American Medical Technologist (AMT) association; or 3. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association (NHA); or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or 4. Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). - Credentialing must be awarded by a third-party credentialing body which can be obtained through: 1. Registered through Medical Assistant (ARMA) - (Minimum Requirement); 2. Registered through American Medical Technologist (AMT) association; or 3. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Association (NHA); or American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); or 4. Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
