This position serves as a Lead Command Center Operator responsible for operating the enterprise computing systems to ensure systems, operating platforms, subsystems, application, networks and peripheral hardware are operating properly; monitoring enterprise systems and alerting technicians in case of any alarms or issues arise. In this role and will serve as designated lead worker to lower-level staff.
Essential Functions
- Under direction, serves as Lead Command Center Operator for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT):
- Serves as a coordinator to lower-level staff involved in monitoring various systems and contacting on-call staff to resolve any unresolved issues, such as server failures:
- Serves as designated lead worker:
- Monitors mainframe and server environment to ensure appropriate availability and resource status:
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field:
- Monitors various sub-systems utilizing a multi-processor configuration of a large mainframe and enters commands to initiate job runs.
- Answers questions from the public.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
