The Opportunity

As a part of the Retail Portfolio Management Team, the Associate Analyst is responsible for risk management and identifying growth and profit opportunities among Ally’s non-commercial retail only automotive dealer relationships. Responsibilities may include continuous monitoring of retail dealership trends and alerts with heavy concentration on outstanding title exposure, risk and loss prevention, dealer service, and accurate and appropriate analysis of new dealership relationships. Requires critical analysis and frequent contact with Field Sales Team as well as dealership personnel to manage the retail relationship and potential exposure. Must stay in sync with strict adherence to company risk management policies and guidelines.

The Work Itself

• Conduct proactive risk recognition. • Control/minimize losses for all retail automotive dealer obligations within assigned portfolio. • Manage exposure utilizing current company risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines. • Develop appropriate action plans to mitigate risk and resolve outstanding issues. • Promptly escalate any non-compliant matters to the appropriate business leader. • Maintain diligent follow up to conclude all action plans as directed. • Maximize returns (ROE). • Ensure analysis is thorough and all owned processes are kept current, consistent with documentation, reviewed periodically for compliance, and assessed against the business need and reputation risk. • Ensure world-class dealer service. • Full compliance with respect to Information Security Standards and Policies - Procedures. • Successfully complete all training and certification requirements.

The Skills You Bring

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business related discipline required
  • 2+ years in financial services or similar industry strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in intermediate MS applications.
  • Strong financial analysis and analytic/problem solving skills required

Experienced: 61420

Expert: 75000
