About This Role:
Windstream's Analyst in Construction is responsible for inspecting the construction of outside plant (OSP) telecommunications infrastructure, validating closing packages and processing invoices. This role involves collaborating with contractors, engineers, and project management to ensure projects are completed accurately, safely, and within regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of OSP telecommunications construction, a strong understanding of OSP engineering prints, and a passion for helping others.
What You'll Do:
Inspect the construction activities of OSP Telecommunications infrastructure to ensure that they meet safety, accuracy, and regulatory standards.
Thoroughly review and validate closing packages to ensure all necessary documentation and requirements are fulfilled before a project is officially closed.
Manage the invoicing process, ensuring that all vendor invoices are accurate and compliant with project specifications and agreements.
Work closely with contractors, engineers, and project management teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination
Engage with external construction vendors to ensure adherence to Windstream standards and practices
Coordinate vendor access to necessary Kinetic systems and resources
Work with various levels of authority to ensure clear communication and effective project execution, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork
Collaborate with contractors and engineers to review and correct engineering prints and work prints
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation to support project management and compliance

Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and complete work assignments in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with minimal supervision
Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to summarize and present detailed information to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to quickly understand requirements and identify appropriate solutions.
Team-oriented and experienced at working in a collaborative environment. Willing to consider the opinions of others and think outside the box.
Desire to learn new skills and a willingness to embrace change with a positive attitude
Solid PC skills with the aptitude to quickly learn new software applications
Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience using database or business analytics software to generate reports and analyze large sets of data
Even Better:
General understanding of telecom industry concepts and terminology
General understanding of outside plant engineering and construction principles
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
Ability to get problems resolved without delay
Self-starter-ability and willingness to learn and assume other duties as assigned
Ability to research data to find solutions
Minimum Requirements:
College degree with 0-3 years of relevant professional experience or 4+ years of relevant professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
