Description Robert Half is actively looking to hire an organized Accounting Clerk for a recognized company. In this position as an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity based in the Springdale, Ohio area.

How you will make an impact

• Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

• Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

• Put together statements and reports that require utilization of an assortment of sources

• Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

• Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

• Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

• Post financial figures to journals and ledgers Requirements - Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment

• Basis costing experience

• Journal entries experience preferred

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in general ledger

• Expense Account experience

• Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system

• AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

• Outstanding data entry skills

• 2+ years of relevant experience
