Our client, a very stable construction company is seeking a Sr. Accountant. The Sr. Accountant is a key member of the accounting team and will report to the controller. Our client has a great culture and offers room for advancement!

General Responsibilities:

· Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of month-end and year-end closing processes, including reviewing closing information and ensuring completeness.

· Prepare, review, and post journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards.

· Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, including account reconciliations and adjusting entries.

· Perform job costing analysis for construction projects, ensuring accurate allocation of costs and helping to maintain budget controls.

· Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or public accounting.

· Experience with ERP systems

· Must be efficient in Microsoft Excel
