Description
Newly created Staff Accountant role in the Spring, TX area! Are you a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 1+ year of experience and want the opportunity to be taught and mentored ?
This role will offer a true HYBRID work schedule and allow you to work and learn from a talented group of Accountants.
Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, focus on reconciliations of all sorts, assist in preparing and analyzing general ledger entries, and assist in preparing financial statements.
Assist with month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Conduct regular account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial records and identify any discrepancies.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for financial analysis and reporting.
Support fixed assets management, including tracking, reconciling, and maintaining accurate records.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Utilize MS Excel to analyze financial data, create reports, and streamline accounting processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
Minimum 1+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to reconciliations, journal entries, and month end close.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Requirements
Adeptness in general ledger
Strong familiarity with month end closings
GAAP Accounting experience desired
US GAAP experience preferred
Experience with Audit Activities
Strong time management skills preferred
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
1-2+ years of overall general accounting experience
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
