HP Inc. People Insights Product Manager in Spring, Texas

This role is responsible for leading the development and success of software products or features for the People Insights team. The role formulates strategies and meticulous software plans for the People Insights platforms and technology stack.

Job Summary:

  • Plays a leadership role and drives the progress of the product management function.

  • Leads cross-functional teams through agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Monitors competitive market to determine client needs for certain product improvements.

  • Strategically partners with key senior stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.

  • Recommends product requirements and definitions to align with stakeholder's needs.

  • Collaborates with the software engineering team on feature ideas and prototypes to bring potential solutions to life.

  • Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle.

  • Tracks and reports key metrics to drive future product developments.

  • Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product launch plans, and marketing collateral.

  • Demonstrates process improvement and project management experience, preferably with the implementation of large projects.

Additional Job Summary:

Responsible for designing, developing and managing activities for a specific software product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Serves as the central resource with design, process, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Translates user requirements into executable work items that the software engineering team can implement in the product. Has the detailed technical knowledge necessary to explain feature requirements to developers and work with them to deliver these product improvements to end users.

  • Responsible for collecting, documenting, and prioritizing ongoing product requirements, enhancements, and features.

  • Oversees the delivery and release schedule for multiple product lines and module delivery. This role would be responsible for overseeing demand intake for all product related in bound requests. This would require this role to convert inbound requests to technical requirements and deliverables and communicate in priority order

  • Manages the translation of requirements, enhancements, and features to technical specifications for configuration.

  • Ensures strategic alignment and prioritization of development across product lifecycles. Leverages technical background to support decision making, development, stakeholder engagement, and broad product solutioning.

  • Acts as primary point for communication of feature releases and product relevant information

  • Makes recommendations on data infrastructure and solutioning based on product roadmap and prioritization.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.
